My Favorite Family Prayers

God's most beautiful creation . . . the family

I saw a beautiful sight this morning on my way into town.

Driving on a two-lane road at 50mph, I suddenly had to slow down . . . because a quail family was crossing the road. The babies were no more than about 5-6 inches tall.

I slowed down to watch as they crossed in the opposite lane from me.

The mama bird’s attention was focused on getting her babies across. That skill–herding her tiny babies out of danger–was lovingly built into her by her Creator.

Families are God’s most beautiful creation.

If you know me, you know I love to pray for my family using the Scriptures.

I’d like to share some of my fave Scripture cards I’ve created.

They remind me that when I use God’s Word to pray for my family, those prayers are not empty of power.

Now, I’m not saying that God doesn’t like hearing our own words. The Bible says He loves to hear us ask for what we need.

Even if it’s just one word–

HELP!

Sometimes, as we balance on the cliff-edges of earthly life, that one word is all we can squeeze past our lips.

I do hope you enjoy these graphics I’ve shared on social media.

And that they spur you on to create your own family prayers–when you read a verse that fits where you and your family are today.

Here are some of my favorites from last year.
